Starting: Speak to the archaeologist at the Bedabin Camp. The Bedabin Camp is a very small nomad camp south-west of Al-Kharid and the Kalphite Lair.

Difficulty level: It is recommended for the master.

Overall: Rumours abound throughout Varrock and Al-Kharid that an archaeologist has discovered clues to a hoard of treasure hidden deep in the desert, south of Al-Kharid.Anybody prepared to offer him assistance in his treasure hunting could well find themselves in favour of a very large reward.

Length: The length of desert treasure osrs is very long.

Requirements:

53 Thieving – Thieving is a members-only skill which allows players to obtain coins and items by stealing from market stalls, chests, or by pickpocketing non-player characters. This skill also allows players to unlock doors and disarm traps. It cannot be boosted.

50  Firemaking – Firemaking is a skill used to light fires, among other things. It is the companion skill of Woodcutting, often trained by players to complete quests or minigames that require a certain level of Firemaking.

10  Slayer – Slayer is a skill that allows players to kill monsters that are otherwise immune to damage. Players must visit a Slayer master, who will assign them a task to kill certain monsters based on the player’s Combat level. Slayer experience roughly equals a slain monster’s.  Hitpoints are awarded each time the player kills an assigned monster. It is not required if you have a Gas mask from Plague City.

50  Magic – It is used in Combat; it allows crafted items to be enchanted, fast transport around the world via teleports, and convert items into coins via High Level Alchemy.

Quests to be completed before:

The Digsite – If you are desperate for buried treasure, there’s gold in them there hills” (well stream actually) as well as many other items that can be found at the digsite. You may go with the students in their attempt to be a qualified archaeologist, and the finally become an experienced one to make the earth move.

Temple of Ikov

Temple of Ikov

The Tourist Trap – South of Al Kharid a new desert pass has opened up, leading to the dangers of the Kharid desert. Don your desert garb and make sure your water skin is full. This should be checked before heading off into the trackless dunes in search of desert adventure.

Troll Stronghold- The Imperial Guard raid was a failure, and Dunstan’s son has been captured by the trolls! Journey through Trollheim to the Troll Stronghold, and rescue him!

Priest in Peril – Priest in Peril is the first quest to take place in Morytania, and is required to enter the region. At the command of King Roald, you must head to the temple of Paterdomus to aid the monk Drezel with recovering the temple.

Waterfall Quest – It is all about investigating the death of eleven leaders of old. The player has to search for the elf King Baxtorian’s tomb and discover the mysterious hidden treasure of the waterfall.

A blood rune
Bones
A cake  (chocolate cake works)
Spiked boots  (obtained from Dunstan after completing Death Plateau by bringing him climbing boots and an iron bar)
Climbing boots  (A second pair of boots are needed if Eadgar’s Ruse isn’t completed and/or 61 Magic for the Trollheim Teleport.)
Garlic  (obtainable during the quest)
Lockpicks  (50 or more may be needed depending on Thieving level) or Hair clips

Spice
A pestle and mortar
A facemask, Slayer helmet or a Gas mask
A tinderbox
Our recommendations for desert treasure osrs:

Super energy potions or Stamina potions
At least 20 lockpicks
Prayer potions
Super restore potions
Ice gloves  to wield a weapon against Fareed

Enemies to be defeated:

Kamil (level 154) –Kamil is one of the four guardians of the Diamonds of Azzanadra, fought only in the desert treasure osrs quest. He uses Ice spells that will freeze the player. He resides in a freezing environment which will constantly lower the player’s stats, providing an additional threat when fighting him. Accurately, five ice trolls (level 120-124) are needed to be killed to reach him.

Dessous (level 139) – Dessous, the Harvester of Blood, is a vampire lord who must be killed during the Desert Treasure quest. The player is told of Dessous by Malak, one of the four guardians of the Diamonds of Azzanadra, who wants him dead in order to claim Dessous’ land as his own. In order to achieve this, Malak tells the player that Dessous guards the diamond and if they wish to retrieve it they must eliminate him; it is when the player encounters Malak after the fight that he confesses that he is the real guardian and that Dessous was just an enemy of his, and then gives the diamond to the player as a reward for their troubles.

Fareed (level 167) – Fareed, the Warrior of Smoke is one of the four guardians of the Diamonds of Azzanadra, fought only in the Desert Treasure quest. Fareed possesses the unique ability to disarm players who are not wearing ice gloves when they are attacking him close up. Once Fareed gets defeated, his diamond is automatically added to the player’s inventory. He can be fought only in the Nightmare Zone after the quest is complete. He is immune to the Zapper power-up there.

Damis (1st form: level 103 and 2nd form: level 174) – Damis is one of the four guardians of the Diamonds of Azzandra, fought only when doing the Desert Treasure quest. He is the only guardian who solely uses melee to attack, however, this is made up for by having two forms – the first being quite easy, while the second having higher stats, attacking faster as well as draining Prayer rapidly.
Also, you will need to tank hits by mummies (level 103) and scarab swarms (level 96).
